Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart as both a public servant of Israel and a daughter of the Jewish people. Across the globe, the spread of anti-Semitism is not just reaching – but is gripping communities with a force reminiscent of the ominous period leading up to the Holocaust.

As we see radicals invading streets across the globe, chanting "gas the Jews" and calling to “ethnically cleanse Israel” from the river to the sea, ring in our ears a never ending reminder of our tormented past. This is not the mere resurgence of an ancient hatred, but a mutation of it – from religious to racial, and now a national rejection of our very being as Jews.

My own family, like many others, is scattered across the world, and today, more than ever, I fear for their safety. Anti-Semitism knows no boundaries; it lurks in communities far and wide, threatening the lives and peace of our loved ones.

The recent senseless death of Paul Kessler at the hands of a pro-Palestinian protester is a tragic testament to this growing threat. Similarly, the brutal attack on an elderly woman in France, culminating in a swastika defacing her home, is an act of pure evil. To the grieving families, I extend my deepest condolences. Your loss is immeasurable and your pain is shared by all who value human life and dignity.

These are not isolated incidents, but symptoms of a deeply rooted global epidemic that we must face as a global society. We cannot turn a blind eye to the lessons of history, to the signs on the wall that warn us of the consequences of unchecked hatred and intolerance.

Our collective responsibility is to learn from our history, recognize the patterns that led to the darkest chapters of our past, and take decisive actions. We owe it to the victims, to our ancestors, and to future generations to stand united against this resurgence of hatred. Thank you very much.
